Back in the day, The Hideout ran a feature with DJ Cherrystones (Gareth Goddard/Godsy) where he led us on a suprise hide & seek vinyl spotting exercise where he posted a hint of an album cover with a few clues to lead us to his recommended tips. I don't think I ever quite spotted all of them but those that I did were exquisite jams of the highest order, that I'm eternally grateful for being turned onto. One was the soundtrack by Popol Vuh to Werner Herzog's Nosferatu (which was my introduction to Herzog's movies, I remember putting on Aguirre and being a bit bored at the beginning started doing some ironing but by the finale I was sat on the sofa, jaw wide open with the iron metaphorically burning down the house). Another was another film soundtrack-not soundtrack to the film El Topo by Jodorowsky. Again, my first introduction to his work and equally if not even more mindblowing. When it comes to weird shit, these dudes are class A. Anyhow, I dig these Polish film posters for Jodorowsky's work, so much with the Holy Mountain one I redid it myself (bottom)!

Karma

Vaguely interesting piece talking to one of the founders of LN-CC, everyone's love to hate, we're so cool we don't even exist, purveyors of intricately beaded mexican skulls and the worlds worst trousers (tm). I actually dig the store, cause hey, someone's gotta push the boat out, right? (and did I mention I scored two of the stupidly limited International Feel records from them [inc the white vinyl Adventure Party!!], not to mention the Goldman book on Disco and it makes me happy they put a shitty friendship bracelet in with each order and I am sooo lame and easy to please that my admiration can be bought, at least until I miss out on the next exclusive and I'll be hating on them with the rest of you.)

Ahh the humble single a thing of great beauty, however when it comes to storage

the 12"s are usually better catered for. It's easy enough to pop to Ikea and

get some shelves or bribe a mate to make some shelves or even make them

yourself, however 7"s just don't sit on a shelve nicely and require some kind

of boxes. If you are feeling flush and need a box may I suggest that you follow
