It originally aired on 107.5 WBLS FM New York with the legendary MC/DJ Frankie Crocker and mix courtesy of DJ Larry Levan back in 1979. This was a groundbreaking moment in dance music history that this club had made there special anniversary live on the radio. There will be interviews from Tom Moulton, John Morales, Vince Aletti, Judy Weinstein (For The Record) as well a live performance from that night of Dan Hartman and Loletta Holloway not heard since the night of the airing almost 32 years ago. The airing of these lost tapes will happen on BBC Radio 6 for a special six hour event. As well Lenny will be doing the Essential Mix on Friday night BBC Radio 1that month so stay tuned for the exact airing of the dates in May 2011.
